Dear Valued Customer, Planning your (or your daughter’s or friend’s) wedding should be a time of fun and celebration. However, it can quickly become a stressful time for you, as well as, those involved in your wedding. While your bridal party will excitedly accept your request to be in your wedding, it’s important that you understand that being in a wedding isn’t free, and the costs of the dress, hair, makeup, shoes, etc. do add up. Women and girls will need to wear a long, formal dress also known as a cocktail dress. Formal Event: Generally, a “Formal Event” is considered to be the same as a “Black Tie Event.” However, it may also be acceptable for men and boys to wear a suit with a nice shirt and no tie. It really depends on the nature of the event. If in doubt, it’s always best to contact the event’s host or hostess. Semi-Formal and Casual Events: A “Semi-Formal Event” or “Casual Event” are both the same type of events, as far as the attire goes. Boys should wear nice suits to these events and girls should wear short and stylish dresses. Generally, dark suits are best, but depending on the time of year and where the event is being held, a light suit may be more appropriate.
