Baby Dresses

It’s just a fact of life that all baby girls wear dresses! There is just no way around it. Baby dresses are abundant in clothing stores and extremely popular among all mothers, regardless of how many daughters they have. Baby girls just look so adorable in the mounds of material that make up the dress. And, there are so many different styles of dresses to choose from.

Mothers can choose from a variety of dresses that range from simple cotton sun dresses to layered dressed with satin and lace. The options are endless, making it impossible for parents to walk in a store and not find a dress that will look adorable on their little girl. Don’t think these dresses are cheap though. They are many things, but cheap is not one of them.

The prices of baby dresses have many mothers looking for ways to save money while managing to dress their little one like the princess she is. In fact, some dresses are specifically for beauty pageants. These dresses can cost hundreds of dollars, if not more – regardless of the age of the girl. This alone has many pageant mothers making their daughter’s dresses by hand. Even if your daughter isn’t in pageants, you know that baby dresses are expensive nonetheless.

You may not know how to sew, making it more difficult for you to save money on baby dresses. However, you can still dress her for less. While you may find the “perfect” dress for Annie at a local boutique, you may find one just as cute online for much less. But, before you can take advantage of online savings, you have to look first. KidsFormal.com has a large selection of baby dresses for up to 30% below retail! They have many styles and colors to choose from and even offer free shipping on orders $50 or more! So, always compare local prices to those online to find the best deal.

Newsletter #37:

Dear Valued Customer,

In our October 15th newsletter, you received our helpful tips for the right way to measure your flower girl for her dress. Please remember that those tips can also be used when measuring your little girl for any kind of dress that you need to order her – not just flower girl dresses. Now, the staff at KidsFormal.com knows that not only do little girls need to be measured for their dresses right, but little boys also need to be measured correctly for their suits and tuxedos.

Therefore, for your November 1, 2018, newsletter we are providing you with everything you need to know about how to measure your little man properly for a suit or tux. It is important that a little boy has a suit or tux that fits him correctly, because if he doesn’t it will not only look bad, but it may get damaged easily as well. There are several areas that you must measure for your little one’s suit to fit well. Please follow the simple instructions below.

  • Chest: Measure just below the armpits all the way around the chest. The tape measure needs to be snug, but also slightly loose.
  • Sleeve: To measure the length of the sleeve, you need to measure from the point of the shoulder blade where the bone juts out down to a little past the wrist.
  • Jacket: You will need to make sure the jacket comes in the right length as well. For a standard jacket, measure from the nape of the neck down just a little below the buttocks (the base). For jackets with a tail or ¾ length…measure to the top of the knees, actually right above is perfect.
  • Waist: Wrap the measuring tape around the waist just above the hips. Again, like the chest – the measuring tape should be snug, but slightly loose.
  • Leg (Outside): Measure from the waist (just above the hips) to one inch below the ankle.
  • Leg (Inside): Measure from right below the crotch to one inch below the ankle.

That’s it! Measuring for a boy’s suit or tuxedo doesn’t have to be difficult. Simply follow the instructions above and you should have no trouble ordering a well-fitted suit for your little one. However, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call us at KidsFormal.com. We would love to help you!

Newsletter #38:

Dear Valued Customer,

As Halloween approaches so does the upcoming holiday season of 2018! While the holidays are exciting in and of themselves, the staff at KidsFormal.com knows that after New Year’s we will begin working with more and more brides as they prepare for spring and summer weddings! However, we also know that there are many brides out there that are preparing for fall and winter weddings as well.

Sometimes tasks that appear to be pretty simple turn out to be more difficult than anticipated. Picking out a flower girl dress is one such task, especially if the flower girl doesn’t live in the same area as the bride. Therefore, we want to help you out when it comes to ordering your flower girl dress. There are a lot of things to consider as far as finding the right dress, but the real concern is making sure you order the right size of dress. Below you will find the helpful tips you need to order your flower girl dress!

How to Measure: Ordering the right sized flower girl dress all comes down to measuring the little one correctly. When measuring:

  • Keep the measuring tape snug when measuring, but make sure it isn’t too tight or too loose…it should be loose enough to allow a little movement but not enough to fall off or bunch up at the top
  • You can use string to measure a child if you don’t have a measuring tape on hand, just measure the string when you have the chance
  • The child should be standing straight up when you measure her
  • Be sure you double check the measurements before you make the final order.

What to Measure: Now that you know how to measure your little one, you need to know what to measure!

  • Her chest at the bust line
  • Natural waist – this is immediately above the hip bones.
  • Height – To do this measure straight from the should to the ankle. You should measure the part of the shoulder that meets the collar bone. This is close to where a bra strap would rest.

Now that you know how and what needs to be measured to order a properly fitting flower girl dress, you are ready to begin shopping! Head on over to KidsFormal.com and check out the extensive inventory of flower girl dresses that we have in stock. You’ll find our prices to be very reasonable and the dresses to be the high-quality gowns you’re looking for! If you have any questions, feel free to call us and we will gladly help you.

Wedding Color: The Elegance of Black

Black is a very symbolic color that can be used to portray a wide variety of emotions and personal styles. One of the most common ways the color black is used to depict a particular emotion is when a funeral takes place. Black is the universal color of death and grief, and therefore, is appropriately worn for these occasions. It is also associated with evil, Halloween and everything scary. The above instances have given the color black a bad reputation. However, black can mean a wide variety of other things as well.

What do you think of when you see a black Lexus or Mercedes cruising down the street? Money, power and prestige are also displayed through the color black. However, one of the best qualities that the color black has tied to it is formality and elegance. Just look at a few black and white prints at an art gallery, or go and watch the symphony perform.

Weddings are another place where black can embrace its elegant heritage! When black is used as an accent color by way of tuxedos, flowers and even a flower girl dressed in black, it can create an atmosphere of elegance used to set the stage for the beautiful bride all dressed in white. So, next time you think about the color black, don’t just limit your thoughts to all the dark things associated with it. Instead, open your mind to explore a world of power, prestige and pure elegance!
